This proactive measure aimed to evaluate how prepared the teams are to tackle any natural disasters or landslides that might occur during the pilgrimage, focusing on rescuing stranded vehicles and providing essential aid to pilgrims in distress.
During the drill, security personnel successfully executed a staged rescue operation, transporting a mock victim to a hospital following first aid on the scene. Such exercises highlight the effectiveness of coordinated efforts among various agencies, ensuring a fast response during real emergencies. Deputy SP Prehlad Kumar underlined that these drills are vital for enhancing the competence and readiness of security forces, ensuring the safety of pilgrims throughout the yatra.
