Ghaziabad Heist Suspect Injured in Police Encounter
An accused in a Rs 1.5 crore robbery was injured in an encounter with police in Ghaziabad. The incident occurred as police attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle. The suspect, identified as Jitendra, fired at police before being shot in the leg. Further legal actions are underway.

An individual linked to a multimillion-rupee robbery was wounded in a nighttime police encounter in Ghaziabad's Kavi Nagar, according to ACP Bhaskar Verma. The incident unfolded as police conducted checks at Diamond Tiraha, spotting a vehicle behaving suspiciously.
Upon police intervention, the car crashed into a tree. The suspect, attempting to escape, opened fire on the officers. In response, police returned fire in self-defence, injuring the suspect. 'During a routine check, a suspicious four-wheeler approached,' ACP Bhaskar Verma stated.
The suspect, identified as Jitendra with previous robbery charges, was found with firearms and taken to the hospital. 'Legal procedures are proceeding,' Verma affirmed, adding the police are continuing their investigation as the suspect recovers.
