The Amarnath Yatra is poised to commence on July 3, with registration ongoing for devotees opting for the online mode. The special registration centers, set by the administration, witnessed a large turnout of devotees eager to embark on the sacred journey through the Baltal and Pahalgam routes.

Enthusiasm among devotees is notably high as preparations are in full swing. "The people are enthusiastic this time. There is no fear," said a devotee, dismissing concerns over past attacks. Another added, "Our faith in Amarnath is unshaken. Terrorists cannot deter us. We urge everyone to visit J&K to show solidarity."

To ensure the pilgrims' safety, the CRPF has implemented a comprehensive security strategy along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Enhanced surveillance measures, including K-9 units and fortified highway patrols, focus on vulnerable sectors like Udhampur to prevent any disruptions during the Yatra.

The initial batch of pilgrims is scheduled to depart from the Jammu base camp on July 2. An elaborate joint exercise involving the Indian Army and local forces was conducted to simulate emergency responses in the event of landslides or natural disasters along the pilgrimage route, ensuring preparedness for any eventuality.
