Russian forces have reportedly secured control over the village of Dachnoye, marking their first advancement into Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, according to Russian state media and war bloggers. Despite attempts at peace talks, military activities have intensified, with Russia seizing significant portions of Ukraine's territory over the past months.
According to reports, Moscow has managed to annex an additional 200 square kilometers of the Sumy region, further advancing into Dnipropetrovsk. Current estimates indicate that Russia now holds approximately 113,588 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory, escalating the land dispute between the nations.
Given these developments, Moscow proposes that peace is possible if Ukraine retreats from regions Russia claims. However, Ukraine, alongside its European allies, deems such terms as an outright surrender and maintains a staunch refusal against conceding any further territorial control.
