The Border Security Force (BSF), in collaboration with Punjab Police, has thwarted recent smuggling attempts along the India-Pakistan border in Punjab. In a recent operation, BSF troops, acting on intelligence inputs, recovered a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone from fields near Kalash village in Tarn Taran district on the evening of June 29. This success was soon followed by the seizure of a DJI Air 3 drone and 460 grams of suspected heroin near Chak Bazida in Fazilka district on June 30.
The BSF personnel's coordinated actions highlight their relentless vigilance against cross-border drone intrusions and narcotics smuggling by Pakistani networks. The operations underscore the importance of actionable intelligence in curbing illicit activities along the border. In a statement on X, BSF emphasized the successful outcome of their operations, crediting the efforts of their Intelligence Wing and coordination with Punjab Police.
The crackdown on smuggling activities extended beyond Punjab, as Amritsar Commissionerate Police joined forces with BSF and Rajasthan Police to dismantle a major international drug cartel. The operation led to the arrest of key operatives and the recovery of a substantial heroin consignment near Barmer, Rajasthan. Authorities remain resolute in their mission to dismantle drug syndicates and mitigate narco-terror impacts in the region.
