Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje visited the Amarnath Yatra base camp in Baltal, visibly moved by the spiritual journey and the developmental strides being made in the area. The Minister joined thousands of devotees on the 2025 Amarnath Yatra to seek Lord Shiva's blessings.

Karandlaje, speaking to ANI, expressed awe at the serene atmosphere, crediting extensive development work for enhancing both comfort and the spiritual experience for pilgrims. She lauded local authorities and government efforts for their role in upgrading infrastructure along the pilgrimage route.

Earlier, as a new wave of devotees embarked for Shri Amarnath Baba's holy cave, Kashmir Divisional Commissioner Vijay Kumar Bidhuri noted the Yatra's broad significance, stating it was a 'Yatra of the people.' He highlighted the collaborative effort of security forces and various service providers, underscoring the environment of security and community support. Additionally, an advisory from Kashmir Police urged pilgrims to adhere to designated routes for optimal safety and coordination.
