Andaman Tourism organises ‘Cuisines of India Festival’

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands Tourism Department organised a three-day 'Cuisines of India Festival' beginning Friday, an official said.
Food lovers will be able to relish regional dishes along with local foods at the event held at the Island Tourism Festival Pavilion in Port Blair.
"The Andaman and Nicobar Islands is known as mini India as people from all states settled here pre and post independence. During their stay, they carried their rich culture and tradition, including exotic food. Visitors are going to enjoy all the flavours of India under one roof," Tourism Secretary Jyoti Kumari told PTI.

To support young entrepreneurs in the culinary field, we have decided to offer cash prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 8,000, and Rs 5,000 to the top three stalls. The awards will be based on criteria such as creativity, presentation, cleanliness and theme-based decoration," the tourism secretary said.
