The Monsoon Session of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly commenced with intense political drama as Congress leaders strongly criticized the BJP-led government's stance on OBC reservations. The assembly resonated with slogans like 'OBC ke samaan mein, Congress maidan mein' and 'OBC ke bhai-behno ko nyay do,' drawing attention to the contentious issue.

Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, alongside senior Congress MLA Sachin Yadav, lambasted the BJP government for reneging on promises of a 27% reservation in government jobs for the OBC community. In an interview with ANI, Singhar sharply criticized the state government, comparing it to a 'girgit' that changes colors, implying its shifting stance on pressing socio-economic matters.

Sachin Yadav also accused the BJP of double standards, arguing that the party fails to uphold its commitments to OBCs both in legal and parliamentary spheres. He alleged deliberate obstructions against OBC reservations, noting that substantial legal fees hinder promised benefits. Yadav warned the BJP of an awakened OBC community ready to challenge the ruling party's position.
