The tremor struck at precisely 18:36:23 IST, pinpointed at latitude 27.06 N and longitude 95.42 E, with a depth of 7 kilometers.

Earlier in July, the NCS documented a 3.4 magnitude earthquake impacting the Upper Subansiri district. This tremor occurred late on the night of July 21, marked by a depth of 5 kilometers. Descriptive details released via social media highlighted the precise timing and location of this seismic event.

Adding to the series of seismic occurrences, a quake of magnitude 2.9 rattled Assam's Nagaon district on July 20 in the early hours.
