Ladakh Lieutenant General (LG) Kavinder Gupta celebrated the success of Operation Mahadev on Tuesday, attributing it to the government's steadfast zero-tolerance approach. Gupta remarked that the operation put a final stop to stone-pelting incidents, marking an end to mass gatherings at terrorist funerals. His comments came after it was confirmed that the accused in the Pahalgam attack had been neutralized.

In an address earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah announced that three terrorists involved in the murder of civilians during the Pahalgam attack were eliminated by security forces. Shah highlighted the joint effort of the Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Jammu & Kashmir Police in the successful execution of Operation Mahadev.

Emphasizing the brutality of the Pahalgam terrorists, Shah condemned their actions against innocent civilians, expressing condolences to the victims' families. He revealed that among those neutralized was Suleman, a top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba, alongside terrorists identified as Afghan and Jibran. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Shah's address on X, noting the importance of such operations in combating terrorism and enhancing national security.
