The Border Security Force (BSF), in a coordinated attack against cross-border smuggling, worked with local authorities to capture two smugglers and seize six drones loaded with heroin and weapon parts. These operations were conducted across multiple locations along the Amritsar and Tarn Taran borders in Punjab.
Acting on intelligence reports, the BSF teams successfully intervened in various locations, including the villages of Roranwala Khurd, Dhanoe Kalan, Bhaini Rajputana, and Daoke in Amritsar, recovering five DJI Mavic 3 Classic drones and one DJI Air 3 S drone. These drones were found carrying approximately 1.73 kilograms of heroin, along with pistol parts and empty magazines.
In a related development, Amritsar Rural Police, working with central agencies, made significant arrests, capturing five individuals involved in a smuggling network. The breakthrough came after a cache of weapons and drug money was recovered, believed to be linked to a terrorist network orchestrated by an individual with connections to ISI-backed elements.
