Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has voiced his agreement with US President Donald Trump's assertion that the Indian economy is 'dead', indicating relief that Trump has publicly recognized this 'fact'. Speaking to the media, Gandhi emphasized that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister remain unaware of this economic downturn.

Gandhi further interrogated PM Modi over Trump's series of statements, including baseless claims of a purported ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the alleged loss of Indian jets, and the newly declared 25% tariffs against India. He questioned Modi's silence and sought clarity on who holds actual control in India amidst these international challenges.

Trump recently posted a controversial remark on Truth Social, underscoring heightened US tariffs and threatening further penalties for India's Russian oil imports. India's foreign policy faced criticism from Gandhi, describing it as confused with no international condemnation against Pakistan over terrorism incidents. He argued PM Modi operates to benefit corporate interests, namely Adani, at the expense of national economic and strategic policies.
