In a scathing critique aimed at the ruling Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, BJP state president Rajeev Bindal has accused Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's administration of betraying the public, particularly unemployed youth. Bindal condemned the reintroduction of a State-run lottery system, which he described as fostering gambling and offering false hope instead of jobs.

Bindal remarked that the Sukhu government promised 100,000 government jobs right after their Cabinet's inauguration, yet three years later, they launched a lottery scheme, shifting focus from job creation to chance-based outcomes. He criticized the revival of the lottery—a practice banned on several occasions in the past—arguing it's against people's interests.

Beyond the lottery issue, Bindal raised alarms over the closing of 2,000 educational and health institutions, exacerbating hardships by making students travel long distances to schools. He highlighted the government's removal of over 1.5 lakh sanctioned posts, while attacking its handling of the recent Mandi district disaster and proliferation of liquor shops on government land.
