In a heated exchange, BJP MP Jagdambika Pal on Friday accused Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, of attempting to safeguard illegal voters such as Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. Pal asserted that Gandhi's objections to the voter list revision in Bihar undermined the Election Commission's efforts to ensure fair electoral processes.
Pal emphasized the autonomy of the Election Commission, a constitutional body tasked with ensuring that only eligible Indian citizens participate in elections. He criticized Gandhi's allegations against the commission, stressing that its role is to verify and maintain an accurate voter list.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi launched a serious accusation against the Election Commission, alleging widespread voter fraud designed to benefit the ruling BJP. Claiming possession of irrefutable evidence, Gandhi asserted that these revelations could have explosive implications, equating their potential impact to an 'atom bomb' set to unveil deep-rooted corruption in the electoral process.
