The electronic National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) has proven to be a robust platform, conducting trades totaling nearly Rs 3.21 lakh crore over the last five financial years, according to official government disclosure on Friday.
Minister of State for Agriculture, Ramnath Thakur, in response to Rajya Sabha's inquiry, revealed that the recorded trade volume from April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2025, stands impressively at Rs 3,20,766 crore. During this period, the platform facilitated substantial inter-state trade volumes annually.
With 1,522 mandis and millions of stakeholders including farmers, traders, and organizations registered, the government continues to enhance the platform by launching e-NAM 2.0, integrating services like logistics and packaging to further foster agricultural trade.
