PM Modi Unveils Rs 2,200 Cr Development Projects in Varanasi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent visit to Varanasi. Prime Minister Modi, on this occasion, laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects with an estimated investment of Rs 2,200 crore. Addressing the gatherings, CM Yogi highlighted Modi's leadership, noting, "Prime Minister Modi arrives amid global recognition of India's capabilities, especially following Operation Sindoor, symbolizing a new era of strength and resolve."
On his 51st trip to his constituency of Varanasi, PM Modi initiated projects such as the widening of Varanasi-Bhadohi road and Chhitauni-Shool Tankeshwar road and inaugurated Hardattpur's Railway Overbridge. The foundation for infrastructure improvements across urban and rural areas, including numerous roads and Railway Overbridges, was also laid.
In efforts to enhance regional power infrastructure, Modi announced the Smart Distribution Project and underground electrical work worth Rs 880 crore. Tourism received a boost with the redevelopment of riverfront Kuccha Ghats, and restoration of cultural sites such as Kardameshwar Mahadev Temple. His initiatives also include the preservation of water bodies, potable water schemes, educational upgrades in 53 schools, and health projects like the inauguration of medical equipment and a new Homoeopathic College.
