Mohali's Waterlogging Woes Addressed: Key Project Progresses Under AAP Leadership

In a concerted effort to tackle rainwater accumulation in Mohali's Phase 11, Punjab's Water Supply and Sanitation Minister, Hardeep Singh Mundia, along with AAP Punjab General Secretary, Dr SS Ahluwalia, reviewed progress on a pivotal storm waterline project.

The project, with an investment of Rs 2.05 crore, spearheaded by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, promises lasting relief from waterlogging that has plagued the area for years. Advocate Govinder Mittal and S Dharminder Singh Lamba also participated in the site visit.

Minister Mundia highlighted the project's advancements, noting substantial progress that has already offered some relief during the monsoon season, urging completion within 45 days. Dr Ahluwalia detailed the installation of a 56-inch RCC pipeline, projecting comprehensive mitigation of rainwater issues for LIG and MIG houses. Local leaders expressed appreciation for the efforts, marking a step forward in resolving issues previous administrations had overlooked.
