Police Nab Trio for June Vandalism Spree in Bengaluru

In a significant breakthrough, the Halasur Police Station in Bengaluru has arrested three individuals suspected of being behind the vandalism that swept through the area on June 28, 2025. After an intensive investigation, officers detained Maksad Ahmad Bin Rehmat Ullakhan, Izar Pasha Bin Nurullah Pasha, and Hamid Tabrez Bin Qasim Ali on July 28.
The suspects are accused of setting fire to a number of two-wheelers and bicycles on Kaliyamma Speed B No 4th Street, Halasur, resulting in damage to 10 two-wheelers and seven cycles. Additionally, a car and a vegetable shop stand were reportedly torched using petrol, causing further destruction.
Police inquiries have uncovered that the origins of this act of vandalism trace back to a personal vendetta held by the accused, Mansood Ahmed. It appears Ahmed bore grudges against local figures Pahad and Sarfuddin, who remain incarcerated on a murder charge. Allegedly, Ahmed, in an intoxicated state, recruited his co-accused to execute the attacks as a form of retaliation. (ANI)
