Father Seeks Swift Justice in RG Kar Medical College Tragedy

The father of a victim from RG Kar Medical College has traveled to Delhi seeking accelerated justice in his daughter's rape and murder case. He voiced dissatisfaction with the investigation by the CBI and Kolkata Police, alleging the Health Secretary's involvement and calling for his arrest.

Expressing his frustration, he stated, 'We have come to Delhi with hope. It has been a year now, and we have been roaming around for justice.' He intends to meet with the CBI Director and possibly Union Home Minister Amit Shah to expedite the probe.

The tragic event occurred on August 9, 2024, when a trainee doctor was found dead on campus, sparking nationwide protests. The case, transferred to the CBI by the Calcutta High Court, has led to several arrests, including the main accused, Sanjay Roy, now convicted.
