Parents from Delhi schools expressed their appreciation to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Education Minister Ashish Sood for passing the School Education (Fee Regulation and Transparency) Bill, 2025. Jahanvi Kaur, a parent, highlighted the significance of this legislation, which addresses concerns about rising education costs and provides a safer, more transparent schooling environment.

On Monday, Education Minister Ashish Sood introduced the 'Delhi School Education (Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees) Bill, 2025' during the Assembly's Monsoon session. The bill targets the profiteering practices in education and seeks to bring about a structured approach to manage fee increases in Delhi's private schools.

The Monsoon session of the Eighth Legislative Assembly, which began on Monday, saw the tabling of this crucial bill. Minister Sood underscored the importance of this legislation, not just as a regulatory measure, but as a fundamental shift toward prioritizing learning over commercialization, in alignment with Dr. Mukherjee's vision for education.
