Delhi Police have filed an action taken report in Karkardooma Court, refuting allegations of rape and murder made by a minor's father. The police maintain that the minor died by suicide, not murder, as claimed.
The case, presided over by Judicial Magistrate First Class Ayushi Saxena, is set for hearings on August 28. Earlier, the court requested a status report from the Jagat Puri Police Station, which now denies any cognizable offense.
The complainant's counsel, Advocate Amita Sachdeva, argues that an FIR is crucial, as witness statements were recorded without one. The complaint follows the mother's conversion to Islam, claiming the daughter faced harassment and murder by her Muslim stepfather.
The father alleges that upon learning of his daughter's alleged murder from a relative, he discovered injuries on her body at the mortuary. Amid threats, the girl's burial proceeded without his consent after authorities disregarded his calls for investigation.
As the court date approaches, the family petitions for the official registration of an FIR and seeks the daughter's burial location, showing a clash of narratives in this sensitive case.
