An electrocution incident during the Krishna Janmashtami celebrations in Hyderabad's Ramanthapur area resulted in five fatalities and left four injured, as confirmed by officials on Monday. The tragedy took place when a chariot came into contact with high-tension wires, causing immediate casualties and injuries.
In response to the devastating event, KT Rama Rao, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), expressed his shock and extended sympathies to the bereaved families. He identified the deceased as Krishna Yadav, Srikanth Reddy, Suresh Yadav, Rudra Vikas, and Rajendra Reddy, urging the state to support their families during this difficult time.
The incident also drew reactions from other political leaders, including Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President Mahesh Kumar Goud and Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, who emphasized the necessity of exercising caution around electrical installations, particularly during the rainy season. Authorities have initiated an investigation as the community mourns this unfortunate event.
