In a landmark announcement, Union Minister of Labour and Employment Mansukh Mandaviya confirmed the launch of the official portal for the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana on Monday. This major scheme, introduced during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Independence Day speech on August 15, promises to reshape the job market.
Mandaviya highlighted the government's commitment to a significant employment initiative aimed at generating over 3.5 crore jobs within the next two years. Approved by the Union Cabinet on July 1, 2025, the scheme is designed to enhance employment opportunities and social security across sectors, with a special emphasis on manufacturing.
With an impressive outlay of nearly Rs 1 Lakh Crore, the scheme offers a structured dual incentive approach. Part A targets first-time employees with a one-time incentive of up to Rs 15,000, while Part B supports employers, offering Rs 3,000 per month for each additional employee, fostering job creation across the economy.
