Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted the devastating impact of recent natural disasters during the Tehsil Diwas event held statewide. Addressing attendees, he underscored the extensive damage inflicted by floods and landslides since August 5, which have resulted in significant loss of life and property across the state.

He explained that various regions have suffered severe damage to infrastructure, including roads and power lines, with resources heavily strained. Dhami conducted inspections in the Maldevta and Kesarwala areas of Dehradun district to evaluate the fallout of heavy rainfall and directed a swift acceleration of relief efforts.

Amid ongoing rescue operations, CM Dhami emphasized the importance of reopening blocked routes and restoring essential services like electricity and drinking water. He assured residents of comprehensive aid, while teams remain on high alert given the rising river levels. State authorities continue to monitor the situation, coordinating actions closely and prioritizing citizen concerns.

In light of these challenges, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have connected with CM Dhami, expressing solidarity and seeking updates on the situation. Damages to homes and public properties persist, impacting livelihoods considerably.
