In a significant breakthrough, the Delhi Police's Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) captured a notorious car thief in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Officials confirmed the arrest on Wednesday after meticulously analyzing CCTV footage from various locations and routes used by the perpetrators.

Utilizing the Smart Monitoring Tool, the squad identified key suspects involved in the theft of a Creta from the Bindapur area. The vehicle's movement was tracked up to a toll plaza on NH-8. The investigation uncovered the culprits' tactics, including the use of a Fasttag belonging to a Swift car to move the stolen vehicle undetected.

An intensive search operation in Jodhpur led to the interception of Pappu Nayak, a 33-year-old resident who attempted to flee. Nayak's interrogation revealed critical information, aiding police in recovering three stolen cars and unveiling a well-orchestrated theft syndicate led by an individual named Sadik.
