According to Gandhinagar SP Ravi Teja Vasamshetty, the joint drive aims to clear extensive encroachments, with 100 illegal structures already demolished and a total of 600 more set for removal. The reclaimed land's market value is projected at approximately Rs 1000 crore. To facilitate the demolition, the operation deploys over 700 police personnel, 20 administrative teams, and 20 JCBs for execution.
Earlier phases in Ahmedabad saw a similar forceful removal of illegal structures covering more than 2.5 lakh square meters.
