Haryana's Big Tax Break: One Time Settlement Saves Taxpayers Rs 712 Crore

In a major financial relief move, Haryana's One Time Settlement scheme has enabled over 97,000 taxpayers to clear their outstanding dues, with settlements amounting to Rs 712.88 crore.

Launched nearly six months ago, the initiative offers substantial waivers, covering outstanding tax, interest, and penalties for amounts due until June 30, 2017. With the scheme expiring on September 27, taxpayers are urged to take advantage of this opportunity.

The scheme applies to several key Acts, providing a standard waiver for dues up to Rs 10 lakh and reducing obligations for higher amounts. Taxpayers can opt for two installments without interest.
