In a vibrant display of devotion, thousands gathered at the Mansa Devi Temple in Haridwar as Shardiya Navratri commenced on Monday. This Hindu festival, dedicated to the divine feminine energy of Goddess Durga, spans nine nights and draws devotees from across the nation to offer prayers and partake in rituals.

Across India, temples were filled with worshippers marking the auspicious occasion. In Uttar Pradesh, large numbers congregated at Moradabad's Kali Mata Temple, while in Ayodhya, the Devkali Temple welcomed many devotees. Delhi also saw significant gatherings at the Kalkaji and Jhandewalan temples, and the Shree Adya Katyayani Shaktipeeth Mandir in Chhatarpur.

Shardiya Navratri is a time of fervent worship and cultural celebration, observed in the Ashwin lunar month. Each of the festival's nine days spotlights a distinct goddess form, reflecting various facets of strength, compassion, and wisdom. Joyous activities, including fasting, devotional singing, and traditional dances like Garba and Dandiya, define the festival's grand atmosphere.
