Framatome Expands Nuclear Footprint in India

Framatome has officially launched its Indian operations in Navi Mumbai, marking a significant step in its strategic vision to boost its presence in India. The inaugural event was attended by dignitaries such as representatives from the French Embassy and Consulate, EDF, and Framatome itself.

This expansion highlights Framatome's commitment to supporting India's ambitious target of achieving 100 gigawatts of nuclear power capacity by 2047. Outlining plans to tap into India's rich pool of engineering talent, Framatome aims to hire skilled professionals to bolster its workforce, enhancing its capabilities and reinforcing its global strategy.

Currently, Framatome contributes to global projects through its engineering expertise in various domains. In collaboration with Indian entities and the EDF Group, the company is poised to play a pivotal role in both the extension of existing plants and the construction of new ones as India pursues its clean energy and decarbonization goals.
