PhonePe Narrows Losses, Achieves Tri-Fold Profit Growth in FY25
Fintech leader PhonePe has reduced its losses to Rs 1,727.4 crore in FY25, down from Rs 1,996.1 crore the previous year. The company's revenue increased by 40.5%, reaching Rs 7,115 crore. Additionally, PhonePe achieved a threefold growth in its adjusted profit, totaling Rs 630 crore, and turned free cash flow positive.

In a significant financial turnaround, PhonePe, the fintech major, has slashed its consolidated losses to Rs 1,727.4 crore for the fiscal year FY25, a notable decrease from Rs 1,996.1 crore recorded in the previous fiscal.
The company's operational revenue saw a robust increase of 40.5%, climbing from Rs 5,064 crore in FY24 to Rs 7,115 crore in FY25, according to statistics obtained from Tofler.
PhonePe, planning to file its Draft Red Herring Prospectus later this year, witnessed a substantial improvement in its adjusted Profit After Tax (PAT), which soared threefold to Rs 630 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 197 crore in the prior fiscal. The Walmart-backed firm reported it is now free cash flow positive, with operations generating a net cash flow of Rs 1,202 crore. Despite total expenses rising by 21% year-on-year to Rs 9,394 crore in FY25, the overall financial position of the company has strengthened considerably.
