Devastation in Vietnam: Typhoon Bualoi's Toll
Typhoon Bualoi has claimed 51 lives in Vietnam, caused significant infrastructural damage, and heavily impacted agriculture. The central bank is encouraging banks to assist affected businesses financially. The storm damaged roads, schools, and offices, and disruptions in the power grid left many without electricity.

Typhoon Bualoi has wreaked havoc in Vietnam, with the death toll now at 51, according to a government report released on Friday. The storm made landfall on Monday, unleashing massive sea swells, strong winds, and heavy rainfall across the northern central region of the country.
In addition to the tragic loss of life, 14 individuals remain missing and 164 others have been injured due to the typhoon. The severe weather has also caused significant property damage, now estimated at 15.9 trillion dong ($603 million), surpassing earlier reports.
Infrastructure, including roads, schools, and power systems, has been badly affected, and agricultural losses tally up to 89,000 hectares of destroyed rice fields and other crops. Meanwhile, the central bank is urging financial institutions to aid businesses impacted by the disaster.
