In a heartwarming operation, the authorities of Jharkhand's Khunti district have come to the aid of a seven-year-old boy discovered wandering aimlessly on the streets. The child, from Kulapoted village in the Arki block, was left abandoned by his parents, according to Khunti District Child Protection Officer Altaf Khan.
Preliminary investigations suggest the boy's mother deserted him and his father due to the instabilities of poverty. Just weeks later, his father left for work in another state, leaving the child to fend for himself. The local village head took temporary responsibility, but the child eventually found his way to Khunti town.
After being alerted by concerned citizens, police intervened, offering the boy temporary shelter at the station. Subsequently, the district's child protection office arranged for his care in a government-recognized children's home, where efforts continue to secure a brighter future for the young boy.
