Twid, a leading rewards-based payment network, has unveiled its Twid UPI app on Monday, enhancing the way consumers transact across India. This novel application allows users to utilize their accumulated reward points for various purchases online and offline, mirroring real-money transactions seamlessly.
With this innovative app, users can easily link and manage reward points from numerous banks, brands, and loyalty programs in a singular platform. This applies both to online and traditional retail settings, enabling points to be used alongside UPI payments at checkout, thus facilitating immediate savings and lowering out-of-pocket expenses.
Amit Koshal, Co-founder & CEO of Twid, emphasized the app's potential to revolutionize the country's payment landscape by transforming reward points into a viable currency for scan and pay transactions. Supported by major entities like Google and Peak XV (Surge), Twid is connecting users, reward programs, and merchants more efficiently, aiming to scale the reach of their service by partnering with an array of new merchants this year.
