Revolutionizing Cement Transport: India's First Retrofitted Electric Truck Unveiled

In a significant leap for sustainable logistics, Flytta has unveiled India's first retrofitted electric truck designed specifically for cement transportation. This groundbreaking vehicle boasts a 13-ton payload capacity, engineered by Kalyani Powertrain Limited (KPTL), part of the Kalyani Group.
The truck is already in operation, collaborating with Dalmia Cement along the Yadwad–Goa corridor. This launch represents a crucial shift in industrial logistics, with Flytta planning to deploy nearly 200 more such trucks. Together with Kalyani and Dalmia, Flytta aims to redefine logistics efficiency through environmentally friendly solutions.
Industry leaders, including Flytta CEO Rahul Kanuganti, KPTL Managing Director Pankaj Sonalkar, and Dalmia Cement's Assistant Executive Director of Logistics, Srawan Agarwal, emphasize the importance of this initiative in advancing India's energy self-sufficiency and decarbonization goals. They also highlight the need for infrastructure enhancements and government support in promoting EV adoption.
