The case involves a medical student from Odisha, who was reportedly gang-raped in Durgapur last Friday. A local court has remanded the three initially arrested suspects to 10 days in police custody as the investigation proceeds.
Meanwhile, a delegation from the Odisha State Commission for Women, led by chairperson Sovana Mohanty, is set to visit Durgapur to meet the victim's family. Their mission is to assess the victim's medical treatment and the ongoing investigation. The Commission aims to ensure swift justice and proper rehabilitation efforts.
