Rajasthan Chief Secretary V Srinivas engaged in crucial talks with HPCL's chairman following a fire incident at the Pachpadra refinery. The discussions, held early Tuesday, focused on the fire that erupted in the Crude Distillation Unit just a day ahead of its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The blaze, which caused a postponement of the PM's visit, resulted in chaos as emergency response teams swiftly moved to douse the flames. It took two hours to bring the situation under control, raising significant concerns over the safety protocols in place at the refinery.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma is also scheduled to assess the situation alongside officials. Both Srinivas and Sharma emphasized the state government's close monitoring and commitment to a comprehensive review of all safety arrangements at the site.
