The Yogi Adityanath government has rolled out a comprehensive Dairy Master Plan in Uttar Pradesh, aiming to boost indigenous cow breeds and enhance milk production. This initiative is expected to invigorate the rural economy through substantial subsidies and strategic schemes.
The plan, known as 'Operation-4', comprises four vital schemes, including the Mukhyamantri Swadeshi Gau Samvardhan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Pragatisheel Pashupalak Protsahan Yojana. These schemes offer significant subsidies to small and medium-scale farmers, facilitating dairy businesses with a unique financial model combining beneficiary investment, bank loans, and government subsidies.
Focusing on high-yielding indigenous breeds like Gir, Sahiwal, and Gangatiri, the government aims to generate employment opportunities and promote self-reliance among women and youth in rural areas. As the implementation progresses, more than 1,500 units have emerged, significantly contributing to the economic upliftment of villages across the state.
