Scorching Heat Grips Uttar Pradesh: Temperatures Soar Above 40°C
Several locations in Uttar Pradesh recorded soaring temperatures, surpassing 40 degrees Celsius. Banda emerged as the hottest spot at 44.8°C. The weather department issued heatwave warnings and predicted mainly clear skies with dry conditions continuing across the state.

The relentless heatwave continues to sear Uttar Pradesh, with several districts recording temperatures well above 40 degrees Celsius. According to the meteorological center, Banda was the hottest at a blistering 44.8 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
Prayagraj followed closely at 44 degrees, with Jhansi at 44.1 degrees and Orai at 43.4 degrees Celsius. Hamirpur clocked in at 43.2 degrees Celsius, while Agra faced sweltering heat at 43 degrees Celsius. Other major cities like Varanasi and Ghazipur recorded temperatures around 42 degrees Celsius.
With the weather forecast suggesting clear skies and continuing dry conditions, the meteorological department has issued a heatwave warning for isolated areas in southern Uttar Pradesh. Residents are advised to brace for temperatures hovering around 41 degrees Celsius in Lucknow on Sunday, with the mercury dipping to 27 degrees Celsius at night.
