Mamata Banerjee Slams Election Commission Over Alleged Voting Irregularities in Bengal

In a blistering critique following West Bengal's assembly elections, outgoing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee vehemently criticized the Election Commission, labeling it the "villain" of the polls.

She accused the Commission of colluding with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to subvert the democratic process, particularly through alleged manipulations of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

Banerjee's allegations emerged shortly after the BJP achieved a remarkable electoral victory, readying to establish its inaugural government in the state. She vowed to fortify the INDIA bloc in response, uniting opposition forces in protest of the perceived electoral injustices enabled by the Election Commission.
