The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination following allegations of a paper leak. This decision, defended by NTA Director General Abhishek Singh, aims to ensure fairness for students.
The disclosure emerged after a whistleblower revealed that some exam questions were circulated on mobile phones before the test. Singh confirmed that all individuals involved in the leakage would face legal consequences, with the case now handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The re-examination will be conducted without imposing any additional fees on students, and refunds will be issued for the initial test. The NTA is committed to upholding the integrity of the examination process, aligning with their zero-tolerance policy against malpractice.
