Power Grid Challenges in India's Renewable Energy Push

Minister of New & Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, emphasized the significance of these challenges at the CII Business Summit, revealing plans to meet with Power Minister Manohar Lal. Their talks aim to address concerns faced by clean electricity producers nationwide, including the controversial deviation settlement mechanism.
Industry leaders like Girish Tanti and Rahul Munjal echoed the urgency for improved grid infrastructure and a long-term clean energy strategy, underscoring India's international standing as a formidable player in renewable energy. The nation added significant non-fossil capacity and met over half of its peak electricity demand with renewables, a testament to effective policy and industry dynamics.
