Unlocking India's Geothermal Potential: A New Era for Energy

A recent analysis titled 'The Future of Geothermal in India' reveals the vast geothermal resources existing beneath India's surface, with temperatures hot enough to generate electricity, cooling, and industrial heat.
The report, released by Project InnerSpace and the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), estimates that geothermal development could create between 350,000 and 700,000 jobs. It also offers an economic boost to the agricultural sector.
Karthik Ganesan of CEEW highlights that with technological advancements and a supportive policy framework, geothermal energy can diversify India's clean energy sources, reducing environmental impact while ensuring energy security.
