Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced a series of initiatives aimed at responsible fuel consumption in light of the ongoing West Asia crisis. His actions are part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'seven appeals' for responsible fuel consumption.

In a recent meeting with officials from the Agriculture and Rural Development ministries, Chouhan outlined measures such as reducing his convoy to three vehicles and directing staff to adopt work-from-home policies. He emphasized the importance of virtual meetings and carpooling, while minimizing non-essential foreign travel.

Chouhan also stressed the significance of local products, spearheading campaigns to promote the use of indigenous resources and products under the 'Vocal for Local' and 'Make in India' initiatives. The Agriculture and Rural Development departments will lead awareness campaigns to further these goals.
