A probe has been launched by the Shimla Municipal Corporation after a biker claimed he was charged Rs 800 for just an hour of parking, officials confirmed Thursday.
The issue emerged when a video of a heated exchange between the biker and parking staff near Shimla's Lift parking area went viral on social media, sparking public outrage.
Municipal Commissioner Bhupinder Attri assured swift action, warning of penalties if the allegations are confirmed. He emphasized that all parking fees in Shimla are regulated, and no overcharging is permitted.
