The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) SC Morcha organized an event in Vijayawada on Saturday to mark the Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations, with a focus on social justice and cultural empowerment. Andhra Pradesh BJP President PVN Madhav highlighted the importance of Dappu and traditional drum culture as integral components of India's cultural heritage that deserve recognition from society and the government.

Madhav emphasized that traditional drummers have preserved cultural heritage for generations and merit respect and support. Promising measures like pensions for those over 60 and special identity cards for traditional drummers, Madhav affirmed the BJP's commitment to promoting welfare and livelihood opportunities for these artists.

Addressing a political controversy, Madhav referred to BJP leader and Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar. He stated that the justice would prevail regarding allegations against Sanjay's son and accused political opponents of trying to manipulate the situation for electoral gain. Madhav urged for a focus on transparency and truth, emphasizing that facts would emerge through proper investigation.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar has sought legal recourse from the Hyderabad City Civil Court, requesting the takedown of defamatory content linking him to a case involving his son. The Union Minister has asked the court to direct media outlets to remove such content. The situation involves Sanjay's son facing allegations of sexual harassment, with legal proceedings continuing as charges brought include sexual offences under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and POCSO Act provisions.

The complaint, filed by the mother of the alleged victim, accuses Sanjay's son of exploiting a relationship between June 2025 and January 2026 under false marriage promises, leading to charges of harassment. As the investigation proceeds, the BJP maintains its commitment to ensuring an unbiased legal process and addressing any misconceptions politically propagated.
