In Telangana's Nalgonda district, a minor fire incident was reported at the Yadadri Thermal Power Station on Sunday. The fire broke out in the facility's third unit, which had just been commissioned a week prior.
According to a senior police official, the blaze occurred around noon and was quickly brought under control with no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation as authorities work to determine what triggered the incident.
The Yadadri Thermal Power Station, which houses five units with a capacity of 800 MW each, is situated in Veerlapalem Village in Damaracherla Mandal. Despite thick black smoke emanating from the site, police have assured that the fire was minor.
