Fire Incident at Yadadri Thermal Power Station Sparks Concerns

A fire erupted in the newly commissioned third unit of the Yadadri Thermal Power Station in Nalgonda district, Telangana, on Sunday, as confirmed by police representatives. Fortunately, the incident, which was first reported around noon, resulted in no injuries, and the fire was swiftly contained.

Authorities are actively investigating the cause of the fire, which was described by police as a 'minor' incident despite the thick black smoke that emanated from the scene. The thermal power plant's third unit had only been operational for a week when the incident occurred.

Yadadri Thermal Power Station, located in Veerlapalem Village, Damaracherla Mandal of Nalgonda district, comprises five units with a capacity of 800 MW each. The plant's management and local authorities are ensuring that all safety protocols are strictly followed moving forward.
