Tata Power has signed an agreement with Druk Green Power Corporation to develop a training framework for 5,000 MW of clean energy in Bhutan. The initiative will be facilitated through Tata Power Skill Development Institute, aiming to create a future-ready talent ecosystem for Bhutan's clean energy sector.
Tata Power has entered a significant partnership with Bhutan's Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) to create a training framework aimed at developing 5,000 MW of clean energy capacity in the country.
The training programs will be conducted through Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI), as stated in the official release on Monday. This collaboration reflects the shared vision of both entities to foster a talent ecosystem in Bhutan's burgeoning clean energy sector, according to Praveer Sinha, CEO & Managing Director of Tata Power.
Dasho Chhewang Rinzin, MD of DGPC, emphasized that this Memorandum of Understanding is a strategic move to enhance local capabilities crucial for the country's ongoing clean energy projects. TPSDI is pivotal in addressing the skill deficit across the power sector through its comprehensive training modules, covering areas like thermal, hydel, and renewable energies, including solar, wind, and green hydrogen.
