The Higher Education Department of Tripura, in collaboration with the National Testing Agency (NTA) and local law enforcement, is set to conduct the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination on June 21 with rigorous security and transparency measures in place. This follows a paper leak that led to the cancellation of the initial exam scheduled for May 3.
State Nodal Officer, the Special Secretary of the Higher Education Department, and district officials are coordinating efforts, which will see over 4,500 candidates in West Tripura and around 200 in Dhalai District sit the exam. Key measures include police deployment, stringent candidate checks, CCTV coverage, and additional monitoring by NTA-appointed observers and flying squads.
With the CBI investigating the alleged paper leak, the upcoming re-examination aims to restore integrity and trust in the process. Candidates are urged to adhere to all guidelines and arrive early at exam centers, while guardians are asked to support by avoiding crowding at venues.
