Delhi Lt Governor V K Saxena directed urgent improvements to security and infrastructure at key medical institutions, citing significant overcrowding and unauthorized encroachments.
During a meeting with city officials, it emerged that the Maulana Azad Medical College and other hospitals face dire challenges due to encroachments, inadequate accommodations, and neglected infrastructure, impacting both students and doctors.
Efforts to resolve these issues include cracking down on criminal elements, initiating land surveys, and creating new accommodation facilities. Allegations of political neglect by the former AAP government were also discussed.
